"Brindabella BouquetTM"
is a new release floribunda rose which loves the heat. It flowers continually
in flushes every 7 weeks. It has well formed flowers with fluted petals
that start white with pink or champagne centres and age to purest clear
white.
THIS ROSE HAS STRONG, SWEET
PERFUME (genuinely).
The bushy plant grows 1m tall
and wide and has good dark green foliage. Looks great in groups of 3
or more or as a hedge. Very suitable for pots or as a standard due to
it's rounded, compact shape.
A
ROSE WITH NO BLACKSPOT.
All our trials over 4 years
show us that "BrindabellaBouquetTM"
is completely resistant to black spot.
This picture shows a "Seduction
R" standard with severe
blackspot and "Brindabella Bouquet" bushes under it completely
clean of disease. We have observed this same result season long for
the past 3 years, both at our gardens in Toowoomba and also at a trail
sites in Silvan Vic., Grafton NSW, Nambour and New Farm Park in Brisbane.
The genetic resistance has been introduced
from Rosa davidii elongata
This is what Holly Forsyth-Kerr,
garden writer for The Weekend Australian newspaper wrote recently:
Late last year I received a pair of 'Brindabella Bouquet' roses, with
the promise that they would thrive in the humidity experienced in warm
temperate and subtropical climates. Six months later it is clear that
this was not an empty boast. They are flowering again in a mass of very
double, very white blooms with a charming green eye and delicious spicy
scent. The almost thornless bushes are covered in the sweetest, elongated
white buds that are encased in an elegant calyx.
'Brindabella Bouquet', which grows to about 1m in height, flowers in
seven-week cycles. This rose makes a great hedge, or a backbone plant,
if repeated through a garden bed. www.brindabella-gardens.com.au.
