We placed a big emphasis on breeding for complete resistance to blackspot and mildew, the scourge of gardeners all over the world. We wanted gardeners who bought our roses to have hassle free, bushy plants that looked good all through the season just like any other shrub or native in the garden. So we commenced with "Brindabella Pink Bouquet" and made dozens of crosses. The result was "Brindabella Pride" that has large, fully double purple flowers with intense true rose perfume. The foliage was not susceptible to blackspot and mildew and the plant was bushy and tough - proven when this rose won major awards at the American Rose Trials for Sustainability 2020 and then the American Garden Rose Trials 2021 - the world's 2 most coveted garden rose trials and the first time any Australian bred rose has won either award. There are many,many rose varieties that love heat and humidity, with lovely strong perfume and get little blackspot. These are our BLACKSPOT BUSTER ROSESTM which have SPOTLESS GENESTM in them There are thousands of varieties that hate our conditions mostly from down south - pull them out and let us supply you the good ones to replace them. IT'S WRONG TO THINK YOU SHOULD ONLY PLANT BARE ROOT ROSES! Our potted roses can be planted anytime of the year. All you need is to be available every day for the first week after planting to give the new roses a bucket of water.Our potted roses are young, very vigorous plants with fully developed root systems, so unlike the 2 year old bare root roses most retailers sell, our roses do not go through the stem dieback that often happens with bare roots roses. Our roses can establish up to 8 months sooner and crop heavily with flowers.
